Bay Area SMACNA Annual Dinner

Bay Area SMACNA Chapter was very thankful to be able to hold the Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers in person this November. 120 members, associate members and guests were in attendance. After missing last year’s meeting, the socializing and networking hour over hor d’oeuvres was even more meaningful.
Sean O’Donoghue, Bay Area SMACNA Executive Vice President introduced John Bagot, our 2020-2021 President. John called the meeting to order and recognized Nancy Pirrone, our outgoing Membership & Events Manager on her well-earned retirement. After also recognizing Bay Area staff, he introduced our special guests in attendance, SMACNA National President Al LaBella, SMACNA National CEO Vince Sandusky and CAL SMACNA EVP Chris Walker.
Al and Vince both spoke about SMACNA’s accomplishments and shared their focus for the upcoming year.
John introduced the 2021-2022 Bay Area SMACNA Incoming President Rich Buckley. Rich thanked John for his 2 years of extended service as President during a challenging pandemic. He also welcomed Brian Pyle (not in attendance) as the incoming Secretary and shared his vision for our organization.
Bay Area SMACNA was pleased to present John Bagot, A.I.M. Sheet Metal, Inc., with the Lonnie Michael III Achievement Award for his contributions, leadership and betterment of the sheet metal industry. His wife, Wendy, was in attendance for the honor. Congratulations John! We truly hope everyone who attended enjoyed reconnecting and meeting new members.
