DeHaro Brothers Committed to Quality Service & Excellence
Growing up with siblings, you often have built-in best friends — and that sibling bond lasts a lifetime. For brothers Manuel, Ramon and Mario DeHaro, that bond extended into a shared interest in the construction industry as adults, which ultimately led to a family-run business.
By the early 2000s, the brothers had already completed their apprenticeships and were pursuing separate careers in various aspects of the industry.
“We were seasoned journeymen before we started our own company,” Ramon said, noting that Manuel was the first to get the entrepreneurial itch.
“I was a tech working for Therma when I decided to further my studies and advance my own education,” Manuel said. “My brothers were also working for similar companies, and we collectively had enough knowledge of the trades to make the jump to running our own business. I started it, and they were on board and our journey began.”
The brothers started DeHaro Mechanical in 2006 as a premier HVAC specialist serving the entire Bay area. The company has come to be known for superior quality and service and has built its foundation on repeat business from commercial and industrial clients across a variety of markets, including education, manufacturing, data centers, healthcare, labs and more. DeHaro Mechanical’s mission is to help reduce energy consumption by HVAC systems and improve indoor air quality.
“Even though we run the company, we also make sure we’re getting out there on the jobs, making sure everything’s done right,” Manuel said. “A lot of our work is repeat because of those relationships we’ve built and that quality of service. Having knowledge of the field and continuous training makes it easier for us to understand the full systems. We know what it takes to install complete systems.”
The DeHaro team takes pride in providing customers with systems that are tailored to their unique needs. Their services include HVAC design, installation, maintenance, commissioning, energy retrofits, controls and sheet metal design and installation.
A recent project completed by DeHaro Mechanical is the new San Jose BioCube build-out — a leading life sciences incubator housed in a 65,000-square-foot facility. BioCube currently serves a diverse portfolio of companies advancing R&D in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, biomedical technologies, genomics, cleantech and food tech. The DeHaro scope of work for this project included design build fabrication and installation of all lab ventilation, process piping and system controls.
DeHaro has been a proud Bay Area SMACNA member since the company was established nearly 18 years ago.
