Drive Through Celebrations A Success
Thanks to the support of the WIC leadership team, JATC leaders, volunteers and numerous donors, more than 85 swag bags were delivered to women and men through the WIC group’s Drive Through Celebrations. The events were held at the three Joint Apprenticeship Training Centers in the North, South and East Bay, along with a fourth at associate member sponsor Norman S. Wright’s location in the West Bay. The pilot program was a safe and fun way to celebrate the accomplishments of women throughout the sheet metal industry and the lunch, T-shirts and goodies were enjoyed by all — from apprentices and journey workers, to project engineers and organizational managing partners.
In the North Bay, Pacific Test and Balance’s Executive Director Jake and Sales Director Steve went out of their way to make sure the women in their organization were recognized. When apprentice Cheyenne could not attend the event due to her job site location, Jake came by to make sure she could collect her goodies. Upon returning to the office, the other women in the office saw the wonderful items and sent a delegate so all could register and partake in the celebration.
As part of the celebration, raffle tickets were provided to all registered event members and volunteers. Many thanks go to our WIC sponsors, raffle donors and contractor and associate members who provided great items for the gift bags.
