Structure Committee Weights in on Remote Learning

The apprenticeship program has reinstated hybrid learning due to the increase of Delta variant COVID-19 cases as of fall. The structure committee, along with Training Administrators Tim Myres and Ben Rivera, have been authorized by the Training Trust to make monthly recommendations on face-to-face or remote/hybrid learning. This committee of management and labor trustees has reviewed and made timely decisions weighing the benefits and risks of on-site learning.
Most recently, classes have been fully remote except when determined to be necessary for hands-on learning in lab environments. Other responsibilities of the structure committee in consultation with the Training Administrators include recommendations on apprenticeship program policies, practices, compliance and communication.
